QUEEN ELIZABETH II and PRINCE PHILLIP

Queen Elizabeth the II was born on April 21, 1926, in London, England. She is the daughter of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. She became the queen of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth realms on February 6,1952 following the death of her father King George VI.

During her reign, Queen Elizabeth II has witnessed many historical events, including World War II, the decolonization of Africa and Asia, the Cold War, the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the rise of the European Union.

She has also played an important role in modernizing the monarchy and making it more accessible to the public.Queen Elizabeth II is the longest reigning monarch in British history, having surpassed the previous record set by her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria. She has celebrated many milestones during her reign, including her Silver, Golden and Diamond Jubilees.

Queen Elizabeth II married her husband, Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburg, on November 20, 1947, at Westminster Abbey. They had met when she was just 13 years old, and he was 18. The couple faced some opposition to their marriage at the time, as Phillip was seen as a controversial choice due to his Greek and Danish royal heritage, and his sisters marriages to German noblemen during World War II.

However, they were determined to be together and their love prevailed. Throughout the marriage , Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip have been devoted to each other and have been a strong public presence both in the U.K and abroad. Queen Elizabeth died in 2023, and Prince Phillip in 2022, their heir is now King Charles.

They have four children together Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. Their marriage has endured many challenges, including the pressures of public life, rumors of infidelity, and health issues. However, they have always supported each other and continue to be a loving and committed couple with over 70 years of marriage.
