Princess Margaret

Queen Elizabeth II’s younger sister was Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon. She was born on August 21, 1930, and was known for her beauty, fashion sense and rebellious spirit.

Princess Margaret was known for her love of arts and was a patron of many cultural institutions. She often socialized with celebrities, including actors, musicians, and artists.

Margarets personal life was often the subject of media attention, particularly her relationship with Group Captain Peter Townsend, a divorced man who was also a member of the royal household.

Their love affair was considered scandalous at the time and caused controversy within the Church of England due to Townsend’s divorce. Princess Margaret ultimately chose to end the relationship.

She then married photographer Antony Armstrong Jones in 1960. Princess Margaret suffered from various health conditions later in life, including a series of strokes. She passed away on February 9th 2002, at the age of 71.
